Altyn Depe Votive

Turkmenistan

Altyn Depe Votives are clay figures from a Bronze Age site in Central Asia, first inhabited about 5,000 years ago. The complex was devoted to the Bull Cult, and during its later period, it became the main center of worship, with ziggurats and temples, surrounded by four-story watchtowers.

This entity appears in the story “14. The Ancient Middle East”.
