Archangel Michael is one of the chief angels. When war broke out in heaven, Michael fought and defeated a demon, formerly known as Archangel Lucifer, who is shown in the sculpture (under the feet of Archangel Michael) with a man’s face, an angel’s wings, and a demon’s scaly body.
