Calumet
Native North America
The Calumet or ceremonial pipe, often decorated with horsehair, feathers, and beads, is a profoundly sacred object to many Native American tribes. It is smoked in personal prayer and during collective rituals, and the Pawnee, Crow, and Omaha groups have pipe dances where smoke offerings are made to the Almighty.
This entity appears in the story “15. An Awesome Halloween Feast”.
