Fangool

The Fangool is a supernatural snake (possibly winged) who acts as an intermediary between the Serer people and their supreme being, Roog, creator of the world. The Fangool helps mortals to reach Jaaniiw, the sacred place where good souls go after their physical body has departed this world.
