Feather Dancer

The Feather Dancer played a prominent part in Native American ceremonies and rituals. He was usually the presiding priest and carried a wand made of feathers during the Feather Dance, which was banned along with other practices by White authorities in 1883. The dance went underground but has recently become a prominent cultural event in places like Oklahoma.
