Feather Dancer

Great Plains, United States

The Feather Dancer played a prominent part in Native American ceremonies and rituals. He was usually the presiding priest and carried a wand made of feathers during the Feather Dance, which was banned along with other practices by White authorities in 1883. The dance went underground but has recently become a prominent cultural event in places like Oklahoma.

This entity appears in the story “15. An Awesome Halloween Feast”.
