Gashadokuro

The Gashadokuro (“starving skeleton”) is a giant skeleton created from the amassed bones of people who died of starvation. It flies around after midnight, grabbing lone travelers and biting off their heads to drink their blood. The only warning victims get is a loud ringing in the ears, and that is only if they happen to be wearing Shinto charms.
