Great Sphinx of Giza

Egypt

The Great Sphinx of Giza, probably the most famous sculpture in the world, is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. It stands on the west bank of the Nile and is about 4,500 years old.

This entity appears in the story “14. The Ancient Middle East”.
