Guru Rinpoche

Guru Rinpoche or Guru Padmasambhava, widely venerated as the second Buddha, brought Tantric Buddhism to Tibet around 760 CE, a form of Buddhism where, under the guidance of a guru, the learner is initiated into esoteric knowledge and is given a secret mantra. He is holding a thunderbolt and a bell, ritual objects of Tibetan Buddhism.
