Kim Jong-un has been the Supreme Leader of North Korea since 2011. The decades-long devotion to the Kim family is so deep-rooted that the inhabitants of the Hermit Kingdom see their leader as a god, and often light candles of his image in their windows. It is thought to be the only imperial cult left on Earth.
