Laibon

Laibon are Maasai priests, believed to be direct descendants of Engai, the supreme deity. They have the power to heal and foretell the future, and are in close contact with animals, both wild and domesticated; they can even create animals from sand, like zebras, who enter the Laibon to tell them their secrets, such as where a marauding lion herd is hidden.
