Mezuzah

The Mezuzah is marked with the Hebrew letter ש (Shin), an abbreviation of Shaddai or “Almighty.” Inside is a scroll that contains the words, “Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One.” It has been placed on the doors of Jewish homes since ancient times to remind Jews of their covenant with God.
