Mother Teresa is often called a saint. She is surrounded by votive offerings crediting her with curing ailments like blindness and breast cancer. Born in North Macedonia in 1910, she spent most of her life as a nun of the Catholic Church tending the diseased in the slums of Calcutta, India.
