Mwana Pwo

The Mwana Pwo is carried by male dancers but represents female ancestors, beautiful young women with high foreheads, large eyes, filed teeth, and scarification on the cheeks. The dance is said to increase the fertility of the spectators (watching above the Mwana Pwo head).
