Nok Sculptures

Nok Sculptures date back to at least 500 BCE. They probably functioned as charms to prevent crop failure, infertility, and illness. Characteristics include large elongated heads with elaborate headdresses, leading some archeological experts to lose their cool and mutter “extraterrestrial” when describing them.
