Protestant Jesus
Netherlands; United States; Protestant World
Protestant Jesus is the northern European Protestant vision of a humanized Christ. He is without a halo, has a concerned but practical-looking face, and is not into haloes, stigmata, or displaying his wounded heart for all the world to see. The sculpture, made in the United States and probably inspired by the 17th-century Dutch Realism painting, is worn and contains notes from grateful American owners.
This entity appears in the story “5. Jesus Appears”.
