Sea Turtle

The Sea Turtle, one of the earth’s most ancient animals, is sacred to many Oceanic cultures. Pictured on cave walls of the Mariana Islands, it seems to have functioned there in ceremonies of the early Chamorros to ensure successful fishing expeditions.
