Shrunken Head

The Shrunken Head is from the Shuar, the most enthusiastic headshrinkers of the Amazon rainforest folk, who believe the spirit of the shrunken head is forever enslaved to the shrinker. Headhunting is known elsewhere in the world, but head shrinking is unique to the Jivaroan tribal groups. It is said some missionaries were among the early victims.
