Saint Elizabeth

Saint  Elizabeth

Hungary

Saint Elizabeth, a princess in the Kingdom of Hungary, born in 1207, is perhaps best known for the story in which she was secretly taking bread to the poor and ran into a miserly courtier. When he asked her what was hidden in the basket, she undid the cover to reveal the miracle for which she is famous, the basket filled with roses.

This entity appears in the story “21. Buddhist Defiance”.
