Tambor de Mina Drum

The Tambor de Mina Drum plays an large part in the rituals of the Tambor de Mina, a traditional religion of the Brazilian coast. Originating in the slave era, it is a mixture of African mythology, indigenous beliefs, and Roman Catholicism. Sometimes the ritual fetishes display all three beliefs.
