Thoth

Thoth

Egypt

Thoth, an Egyptian deity, was depicted with the ibis’s head, a sacred bird associated with wisdom and writing. He also pronounced judgment on the dead, all of which induced the occultist Aleister Crowley in the 1940s, to create the Thoth Tarot, a deck of 78 illustrated cards in which Death is a black hooded skeleton holding a scythe.

This entity appears in the story “7. An Ancient Egyptian Dilemma”.
