Tokolish

The Tokolish, in Zulu mythology, is nearly identical to the European brownie. However, unlike the brownie, it can turn malicious and bite off sleeping people’s toes and eat them. Locals are so scared of Tokolishes they buy deterrents from witch-doctors’ road-stalls to drive them away.
