Tulpar

Kazakhstan; Uzbekistan; Kyrgyzstan

Tulpar is the legendary horse of Central Asia, so famous that his name is known wherever Turkic languages are spoken. He is always shown winged, and possibly the legend came into being because in earlier ages, people hunted on horseback with birds of prey; later on the two creatures became one.

This entity appears in the story “14. The Ancient Middle East”.
