Vishnu

India

Vishnu is one of the Hindu trinity of gods; the other two are Brahma and Shiva. Vishnu, the preserver, is depicted with four arms, reclining on a serpent’s coils with its hood leaning over him. He is shown in the form of one of his avatars, in this case, Narasimha or Great Protector, with a lion’s face and a human body.

This entity appears in the story “19. A Complaint from India”.
