Jurojin

Japan

Jurojin is the Japanese god of longevity and one of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune. Always wearing a beard to symbolize old age, he sometimes carries an “uchiwa” fan, the handle representing the beginning of life, and the ribs stand for the roads of energy going out in all directions to bring good fortune and happiness.

This entity appears in the story “22. An East-Asian Warning”.
