Kau Chim
Hong Kong
Kau Chim, or Fortune Stick Telling, is a semi-official ritual in Hong Kong. A government member represents the city in a divination ritual, where a stick is picked randomly on the second day of the Lunar New Year at the Che Kung Temple. Each one is numbered and has a different meaning, like “Stay close to home.”
This entity appears in the story “22. An East-Asian Warning”.
