Saint George

Saint George is the patron saint of the Caucasus country of Georgia, where he has been revered since the 4th century. The oldest known record of him slaying a dragon (probably symbolizing Evil) is found in an 11th-century Georgian text. His fame reached Western Christianity via the 12th-century crusades.
